Mariebergsskogen AB – Karlstad's City Park

Mariebergsskogen AB – Karlstad's City Park is owned by Karlstad Municipality and is Värmland's largest tourist destination. Our work varies by season, and in the summer we have around 80 employees. We manage facilities, playgrounds, café sales, green areas, Naturum Värmland, the Lillskogen Zoo, and several large events in the park.

Do you want to contribute to the best summer experience and provide first-class service to our visitors? We are now looking for staff for our café and sales locations in Mariebergsskogen.

We have several cozy café environments in the park. The Waffle Café Spikgården is an 1800s cottage. The tasks here involve simple preparation and sale of savory and sweet waffles, as well as a light café menu. The Waffle Café Spikgården opens early spring on weekends and school holidays and remains open every day from June until mid-August.

In our café operation at Naturum Värmland, we offer simple lunch dishes and snacks. Simple preparation and dishwashing are included in the tasks.

Ebbas Kiosk was inaugurated at the end of April 2024. Here, our visitors can buy soft ice cream, hot dogs, hot and cold drinks, and souvenirs. Tickets for the sightseeing train Conrad Höök can also be purchased, and we offer rental of mini-golf clubs and sleds. Ebbas Kiosk is also a place for visitors to learn more about the park's offerings, activities, food and snack places, and other things that make their visit the best it can be. Cash handling is included in the tasks at all our sales locations.

As an employee with us, you are an important part of providing good service to our visitors and being knowledgeable about the park's offerings and able to answer questions. You are an ambassador for the entire park.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience in cafés, restaurants, or sales. You have a service-oriented approach and focus on the customer. We see that you are positive, flexible, and have good cooperation skills. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are willing to pitch in where needed. Good language skills in Swedish and English are required, and it is a plus if you can speak additional languages. You must be at least 18 years old, and we welcome applicants of all ages, including older candidates.

You should be able to work on holidays and weekends during the spring and throughout the summer.

Other

Your main placement will be in either the Waffle Café Spikgården, the café at Naturum Värmland, or Ebbas Kiosk, but we will cover for each other in sales as needed. It is very important that you are available for work during the summer period as well as on weekends and holidays during the spring.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
